G: What inspired the "Megan James Edits" print collection? Was there a specific need you were addressing?

M: I have wanted to make my most popular works more accessible for collectors for a long time. Having these prints in different sizes accommodates all of my clients from home owners to hotel and restaurant spaces. It's been something I've considered for years, watching how certain pieces consistently resonate with people.

G: Can you tell me about the materials and techniques used in the original works that these prints capture?

M: The Mediterranean works are in oil, but everything else was created with natural pigments, from foraged materials to rain water, charcoal and even coffee and clay. The print option makes these pieces more sustainable for homes with a lot of light, preventing fading from the natural materials. It preserves the visual impact while solving some practical challenges.

G: Is there a story behind the name "Megan James Edits"? How did you select which pieces to include?

M: This curation is a hand selection of my favorite pieces from each collection since 2018. These are the pieces I'm most often commissioned to make repeats of as well. It's interesting to see which works have that staying power, which moments in nature continue to pull people in year after year.

G: How do you envision these prints integrating into different interior spaces? Do you have particular environments in mind?

M: My work is like a window into a grounding natural moment. I think it goes well in all sorts of interiors - from stark modern to traditional or vintage curated spaces. I love seeing these pieces in city high rises, demanding a sense of nature. They create this beautiful tension between built environments and wild elements.

G: When will people be able to access this collection, and how have you structured it for different types of clients?

M: The launch date is 4.11.2025 and both the public shop and the partnership shop will be available. The partnership section is dedicated to retailers and designers that can apply for a wholesale account.
