A deep, earthen field made from clay Megan foraged in California, mixed with rainwater and coffee. It’s built in many thin layers until the color settles into a warm, even brown with a soft, velvety surface. Light pools gently toward the lower half, the way afternoon sun moves across a wall.
Over it, Brian O’Hara writes Love in pale, chalky line, backwards, in his Future Codes language. A single open circle sits at the center, held between long parallel strokes above and below and crossed by one clean diagonal. The marks are simple and few, so the word reads first as a quiet, balanced shape.
